Aaron Bell
CPO, Founder
Aaron Bell is CPO and founder of AdRoll, the most widely-adopted retargeting platform with over 35,000 active customers. Prior to AdRoll, Aaron was Lead Engineer at SHAI, an artificial intelligence company in San Mateo, Calif. There, he oversaw projects for the NASA manned spaceflight program, including the official planning software used to set the launch date for the space shuttle.
From an early age, Aaron has been passionate about coding. He began as a software engineer at age 16 at Microsoft, in the nascent Exchange Server group. Aaron graduated from Stanford University with a B.S. in computer science, and was also the only undergraduate advisee under the legendary AI pioneer and Emeritus Professor John McCarthy.
Toby Gabriner
CEO
Toby has a distinguished 20 year career at the nexus of content, technology, advertising and commerce. In the late 90's, Toby joined Freestyle Interactive where he transformed the company into an award winning creative and media agency that serviced clients such as EA, Microsoft, Progressive Insurance and Adobe. Toby grew the company by over 500% in three years eventually leading to the company being acquired by Carat one of the largest media agencies in the world.
After the acquisition, Toby was named President of Carat Interactive where he led the team that grew billings from $90MM to $350MM winning such accounts as Western Union, Pfizer, Hyundai/Kia, Adidas, P&G; and AOL. Moreover, Toby was responsible for creating the industry's first combined TV and digital unit dubbed Carat Fusion which pioneered cross-platform planning, buying and measurement.
In 2005, Toby was recruited to be the CEO of the buy-side ad serving company Poindexter Systems, later rebranded as [x+1]. [x+1] was the first company to focus on the automation of buying and selling of digital media (dubbed programmatic) which has since become a $30B+ market globally. During his tenure, Toby doubled revenue each year and oversaw accounts such as American Express, State Farm and AOL. [x+1] was eventually acquired by Rocket Fuel a publicly traded company on the Nasdaq.
In 2008, Toby joined Tribal Fusion as President. Under his leadership, Toby drove new product introductions including mobile and video, which greatly boosted Tribal's stature from a basic display ad network to a strategic media partner with agencies such as Initiative, Starcom/MediaVest, OMD, Digitas and Carat. Toby also reorganized the sales operation leading to 30% growth year over year. He also expanded Tribal’s global footprint and doubled international revenue from 8% to 16% of all revenue.
Following his time at Tribal Fusion, Toby was recruited to become President (and later CEO) of Adap.tv a company focused on developing software to automate the buying and selling of video advertising. Under his leadership Adap.tv grew revenue from $200K in 2009 to over $150MM four years later. Adap.tv was named the fastest growing video technology company in Sillicon Valley by Inc. Magazine and was acquired by AOL in September 2013 for $465MM.
Toby left AOL in December of 2014 and has become involved in a number of endeavors including working with the investment group of a music technology company called MAGNIFI to pivot and sell off the IP, serving on a four boards, as well as, advising and investing in a number of companies. Today, Toby serves as a member of the board of directors of 500px (an Andreessen Horowitz backed photo community company), Altitude Digital (a programmatic video company), PopWallet (a company focused on marketing automation for mobile wallets) and Kiosked (a dynamic ad experience company). Toby is also an advisor to AdRoll (the leading performance marketing company for SMBs) and MetaXchain (a company focused on bringing blockchain technology to digital advertising).
Peter Krivkovich
CFO/COO, Founding Team
Peter is focused on building the organization and processes that have helped AdRoll become the fastest growing display platform. Prior to joining AdRoll, he spent six years in leadership roles spanning finance, business development, product management and sales. Peter worked in investment banking, was a product manager at Everdream Corp. (acquired by Dell) and got an MBA from Harvard before going to work at Good Technology (acquired by Motorola). There, he worked for the President helping oversee sales and then for the CFO where he built and managed the company's financial model. When he is not spending time with his wife and two daughters, he enjoys reliving his college tennis days on the foggy courts of San Francisco.
Valentino Volonghi
CTO, Founding Team
Valentino currently designs and implements AdRoll globally distributed architecture. He is the President and Founder of the Italian Python Association that runs PyCon Italy. Since 2000, Valentino has specialized in distributed systems and actively worked with several Open Source projects with which he continues to be an active contributor. He graduated from the Milan Polytechnic University with a MS in eBusiness and IT Management. In his free time, he shows off his biking skills on his Cervelo S2 on 50+ mile rides around the Bay.
Suresh Khanna
CRO
Suresh oversees all sales operations at AdRoll. With over 15 years of experience, he was in a variety of tech industry roles before joining AdRoll. Previously, he was at Google for over five years, most recently as Director of New Advertiser Sales. In earlier roles, he led the business development efforts for Google’s local advertising channel team, and built scalable sales programs for agencies. Outside of work, Suresh is co-owner of Kasa Indian Eatery in San Francisco. He has two children and is a passionate Little League baseball coach. Suresh holds a dual BA in Economics and Public Policy from Stanford University and an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management.
Amy LeBold
VP, Human Resources and Recruiting
Amy is an accomplished global human resources leader with experience in providing people strategies in rapidly changing workplaces. She has spent 10+ years in HR roles focused heavily on the employee experience, and has been closely involved with engaging employees in giving back to the communities where they work and live. Amy co-leads our AdRoll Gives Back board. Prior to joining AdRoll Amy spent nine years at Elan Pharmaceutical, Inc., where she held various roles across HR & Recruiting in San Diego, South San Francisco and Dublin, Ireland. Amy also holds a bachelor's of science degree in psycho-biology from University of California at Los Angeles.
Greg Fulton
VP, Product
Greg joined AdRoll in 2008 and has been leading the Product organization since 2010. As VP of Product, he is responsible for the company’s the long term strategic vision, and oversees the Product Management , User Experience, and Business Development teams. He is the co-author of The Retargeting Playbook and has written industry articles for publications like Wired.com.
When not talking to customers or speed walking from meeting to meeting, Greg spends his time being mediocre at surfing, skiing, and mountain biking. Also his dog is one of AdRoll’s spirit animals. So he’s got that going, which is nice.
Patrick Mee
VP, Engineering
As Vice President of Engineering, Patrick steers development and delivery of the products that make AdRoll great. He started as a full-stack engineer before full-stack engineering was cool, and quickly moved to management. Patrick discovered Agile software development and honed his passion for Agile methodologies. Since then, he has successfully converted many organizations into fast-moving shipping machines as Vice President of Engineering at Inadco and Ning, and as Director of Engineering at SourceForge and Ecast. Patrick graduated from Dublin Institute of Technology with a degree in Software Engineering. Outside of work, Patrick indulges his passion for soccer as both a player and a coach.
Stephanie King
General Counsel
Stephanie joined AdRoll as its General Counsel in August 2014 and oversees all legal affairs for the company. She is focused on finding pragmatic business solutions to complex and ever-changing legal issues. Prior to joining AdRoll Stephanie spent four years at Zynga Inc., a social gaming company, helping to build scalable processes and its legal team, which was named Most Innovative Legal Team by Inside Counsel Magazine in 2012. Most recently Stephanie was Associate General Counsel, Commercial where she was responsible for product compliance, commercial contracts, government affairs and support for Zynga.org. Prior to joining Zynga Stephanie was Senior Manager, Legal at Gilead Sciences, Inc., a biotechnology company, where she built and managed the commercial contracts team. She also spent over four years as an Associate in the corporate department of Latham & Watkins LLP, one of the nation's leading law firms, and two years as an analyst with Health Advances LLP, a strategy consulting firm focused on biotechnology, medical devices, and pharma.
When not wrangling legal issues, Stephanie enjoys adventures with her husband and children and running in local races.
Stephanie holds a bachelor's degree from Dartmouth College in Government and a joint J.D./M.B.A. from Columbia Law School and Columbia Business School.
